Wildstar combat killed any interest I ever had in playing WoW. It's kind of sad a reboot of a 15 year old MMO will probably do better than all the other MMOs that have come out in the last 15 years.
But these are probably the same people who signed a #GOT petition so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gotcha. MMOs are so reliant on social features which now exist outside the games, it’s very hard getting friends under the same banner for long enough that it takes off.
If only those features could hold their ground in priority. (I say this as one with extensive experience working on said features and exhaustion trying to convince others they are worth investing in). I'd like to strongly reiterate, this doesn't reflect my current employer. :-P

They will go miles to catch people’s attention, but then give up on engagement by falling back on shallow, reskinned gameplay ideas. Every time I stopped playing an MMO it’s because I felt people were leaving, never because of a lack or quality of content.
