Hi FO & Fio., great work! Actually imo 変更前のグラフィックデザイン should be "previous" or literally "before-the-change(s)" rather than "initial," & the final sentence "Care for details & deep affection for each single Pokémon--those must've created the lovely, cool-lkng 'mons!"
So at my request my good friend @Fiolsvinn_ made a translation of that old Game Freak article which features some early Pokémon designs as well as an interview giving some insight on them.
