If Blizzard had an issue with the ladder games rule, they should have brought that up when we discussed it. Instead, they made no mention of that rule at all, and referenced that GSL not counting as a "competitive reason" to be in Korea was the cause for this

ok the rules state "A “qualifying foreign resident” may travel for non-competitive reasons outside of his or her country of residence only for a maximum of 5 weeks during the WCS Period" So he may travel to Korea, for non-competitive reasons

That's not what it means, it means he may only travel for 5 weeks for non-competitive reasons. We are saying that GSL is a competitive reason, therefore he should be allowed to stay longer. They are saying GSL is not a competitive reason, and so he should not

Well then the next part of the rule "and must obtain Blizzard's approval in advance before traveling outside of his or her country of residence during the WCS Period". Did he get Blizzard's approval before going to korea to participate in GSL?

Any rule involving the words "WCS Period" is questionable since nowhere is it actually outlined what the "WCS Period" is.

I don't think it's an unreasonable stretch that the 3+ month period in which there was no Circuit activity could be a break in the "WCS Period."

I think blizzard is implying that they do not see GSL as a non competetive reason within regard to the WCS system. Leipzig started in January so argument could be made that the entire WCS period is january > blizzcon. I am guessing is that they imply that.

What they're saying is that they meant to say "WCS Circuit competitive reason" and what we are saying is that they can't enforce that since that isn't what that rule means, as written.
