Im seeing a lot of people spreading miss information about how signing up for WCS works and im triggered af so here we go. Dreamhack recently changed the sign up requirement to also have a ticket before you sign up to the event. However in most cases you are waiting 1/2

On your team with additional information about being able to go. If you had to waste 50-100$ per event on tickets that you might not even attempt the already low earnings would be even lower, it is retarded to see ppl say "JuSt SiGn Up EaRlIeR" doesn't work like that. 2/2

Reddit jerking themselves off with the "let this be a life lesson to be professional guys XD" made me wanna kill myself yesterday, we have amazing players not making it for the first time ever because of this, what a shameful day for Starcraft

Did you even try to see this situation from an outsider's perspective tho? It's utterly mind boggling to think - if the sign-up + ticket purchase is the only hurdle - that a team or player can't do that in proper time if it's one of THE 4 events you wanna compete in per year

Welcome to esports where recieving tournament information the day of travel (groups) and recieving prize money ( your paycheck) on a 9 month delay is accepted and its something you just have to deal with. Altho i agree with you that some teams are very sloppy and they are 1/2

Seems like your the one accepting your paycheck on a 9 month delay. Maybe dont do that and find a different team or do something else. No ones forcing you to put up with it.

For one prize money is not paid out by the team but rather by tournament organizers. Also i am no longer competing so i dont have to deal with things like this anymore. Also teams are hard to come by with sc2 so say no a few too many times and suddenly you are teamless forever.

Regardless, the people that are playing in this tournament today signed up the right way and therefore are playing. Those not playing did not. It's pretty black and white on whose at fault here. It sucks, but that's life.

I love how you first say to not partake / support a flawed system when it comes to eSports earnings - saying "No ones forcing you to put up with it." to then say "it sucks, but that's life" to the another flawed system when people are not putting up with it
