Gonna be the first time playing wow since early cataclysm, never played on launch day except for TBC getting some nostalgia flashbacks :3 hoping for a semi decent launch.

Buying any level of the latest exp gives you a 110 boost to a brand new char. You can start right on the correct level for this expansion.

But there is a catch, the level of your gear is good for initial areas, you have to grind a lot further down the road to survive some of the upcoming content. This happened with me in WoD (I was being 1 shotted by mobs on the 2nd content patch).

yea I probably would get one shotted and wouldn't be able to follow my friends, I'll stick to watching the streams

Its not the best gear but it will do for leveling purposes ofcourse people will have stronger items (i spent like 10 hours getting upgrades so ill be a bit stronger) but you will be fine. Also wow story never was the best but maybe now dunno, worth a try imo
