EU challenger qualifiers insanely stacked again, extremely good players possibly not making it in, i really hope blizzard gives at least 24 paying spots to EU challenger next year, it really should be 32 though.

what about korea? :O
-
Korea is lucky that they geographicly locked europe out of the GSL only a handful of sailors made their way there. Soon enough we are gonna flee out of EU and collect the gsl prize money optiHeh

i don't disagree with you, but this is the kind of slippery slope that leads us to a "global" scene that is not truly global, i.e 2013-2014 wcs to some degree, if you want weaker regions to care about starcraft and produce good players, you have to give them a path to success
-
Yeah for sure, it is a bit of a sticky situation as both are kinda getting fucked over no matter what you do. However i still feel like better players should be given more oppurtunities (for the record i never was for or against the region lock).

From Valencia, performance for top 4 EU: 2 players Group stage 3 1 player Ro16 1 player wins(serral) NA: 2 players Group Stage 3 1 player ro16 1 player ro8.(neeb) Take away neeb and serral and it's identical performance. Austin was pretty similar I believe.

I think we have had this conversation before but i never denied that the top of NA is on par with EU. In fact i think they might even have a slight advantage over EU in terms of skill however the lower class of pros in europe are 1/2

We had this exact discussion on discord this morning. WCS is not about finding the best player, or having the fairest system in turns of opportunities for high skilled players. But yes, EU is by far the hardest.
