i think a 2TB HDD + 250GB is better than a single 500 GB SSD 750W also isn't particularly necessary (you can go 650W or even 500W, unless you're 100% going to buy a 2nd video card in the next few months for SLI (not particularly recommended).
I'd still go 650w atleast, 500W is way less efficient and leaves with 0 room for expansion.
the efficiency benefits are pretty negligible well if he's not planning to buy another GPU for SLI i simply cant see anyway he's going to get near to 500W, the system at the moment would probably take 350W-400W from the wall max atm
