Navigating the mental health system can be just as stressful as the mental illness itself.

Universal Credit is basically just social cleansing isn't it? Tories aren't even trying to hide their true intentions anymore.

“Universal credit has been linked to increased rent arrears, debt, stress, and food bank use among its low-income claimants,” Why the hell are we still doing this??

Please remember that as well as food, many women on cannot afford to buy tampons or towels so have to use socks or rags during their period. And teenage girls whose parents are on UC too. Imagine how humiliating that is.

My housemate is on and the rest of us regularly offer her food we won't use, or make extra portions of dinner because otherwise we know she just wouldn't eat. (She isn't on Twitter)

One thing this show didn't discuss was how women on are forced to use socks and rags during their period because they can't afford sanitary products. Please consider donating towels or tampons to the foodbank too.

How can you ever focus on improving your physical/mental health or getting a job if you can't afford to feed yourself or your children?

Declan, who has become homeless has worked, he has paid taxes, he has paid national insurance - yet the social security system isn't there for him in his time of acute need

When a person requests that their benefit is paid direct to the landlord, that is example of someone managing their money sensibly. It shouldn't require a case manager to decide if her request should go ahead

How are we putting up with this and letting the Government treat our citizens like this? There should be riots on the streets!

Seriously, how the hell are you meant to job-hunt and prepare for interviews when: -you can't afford food -you can't afford to wash your clothes and you are facing eviction?

I would imagine the suicide rate among claimants is unusually high. I would fucking question what the point was if I was homeless, had nothing to feed my kids and the best the Gov could offer me was a fucking budgeting course.

Screw the Budgeting courses offered by the DWP, how about they think about attending some empathy courses themselves?

It's not a fucking budgeting problem these people have, it's a lack of money. £138 for one adult, and two children for a MONTH? "We can put you on a budgeting course. " Fuck off and go on an empathy course you pricks.
