You can provisionally use it as a working axiom. Doesn’t have to be believed as somehow true, real, or actual.
I tend to return to the pragmatic test of truth. And, pragmatically, it is often best to believe. Just know if and when to stop.
Pragmatically it’s best to realize that true belief is not only utterly undesirable, it’s impossible. There will always be ambivalence.
That everything is Religion, in the sense that all views require a blind faith metaphysical leap.
But, I think you get this, and choose to use this language on purpose.
