would you consider doing a solo podcast? I love your guest interviews of course but there are some topics that I actually would prefer to listen to a lecture about rather than a conversation.

Yes, I've had a few of these in the works for a while.

Rob Burbea on Soulmaking dharma, imaginal practices, Eros, and Emptiness (including his critique of pragmatic Buddhism’s orientation in practice).

I'd love to have him on the show, Marco. I've enjoyed reading Seeing that Frees immensely. Please DM.

Would be interesting to hear you and Jeff Warren talk about learning from Shinzen but evolving into your own thing. About growing as a teacher in a legacy.
-
Yeah, that sounds like a fun one.

Just out of curiosity, what could we possibly add to the gazillion already-existing interviews with those guys? What specifically would you like to hear from them that you haven't already heard?
-
Yuval I suspect on the topic I just suggested (elsewhere in thread) sanna vs vedana and how experience... even successful past practice can form basis of imaginative "rehearsing" that misses vipassana. Oversight vs insight.
-
(I dunno maybe I just want to see my shit talked about by very smart people :)

I appreciate
@kenmcleod’s takes on practice. His translation/commentary on one of Jigme Lingpa’s trekchö texts is one of my favourite. I suspect there’s a very fruitful - post-traditional - conversation to be had around ‘Do Nothing’/awareness style practices. (Feel free to DM)Thanks. I expect you and
@BradWarner could have an interesting, far-ranging discussion. -

"As it is, not as you want it to be" and the shadow side of pragmatic goal oriented practice. Can knowledge of dharma theory make us terrible meditators? "It's not until you look at ants closely with a magnifying glass you notice they spontaneously burst into fire".
-
How sanna distorts vedana. Even our own subtle sanna formed from previous practice influencing future practice ... actually distoring the reality of what is going on. Vipassana tradition approaches like "Beginners Mind" / Mu ?
-
Ingram in MCTB 1 hints at this with "what went wrong?" But sheds very little light on issue, just asks Q. I just spent 9 days blowing it with only momentary concentration and lots of intellectual mind noise around dhama theory... :/ so this is close to my mind.
