I'll add this to my post but here first. How many of the advocates are actually too young to run? In 2019, under the Present constitution a "child" born in 1979 can run for President 1984 - Governor, Senate 1989 - House of Representatives LGA Chairman 1994 - Councillor

Is the present issue that a person born in 1984 illegible for President? Or that one of 1989 illegible for Senate? Or 1994 illegible for House of Representatives? My guy, do you honestly think that's the problem?

We have never advocated that it's the silver bullet to all of our problems. But for a youth-focused movement, it is one of the factors against quality youth participation in politics.

How on earth has it stopped youth participation? Is it until a child born in 1999 can run for President that youth participation will increase? Calculate your age in 2019. How has the current constitution stopped you from being active? I don't like distractions. This is one.

If I wanted to run for a legislative office in 2015, it would have stopped me. I was less than 30 then.

And except you could run for House of Representatives you would not be interested in participating in politics? Say working with someone running for that's office or Senate (your age bracket) and get first hand experience before coming of age?

Political participation doesn’t need any kind of legislation. Young people need to get involved in party activities RIGHT NOW. If you can’t, support someone who can.

Many already do that, and want to be able to run. No harm in allowing them run.
