Religion is dogma. Immovable. You do not reason with religion. How is religion philosophy?https://twitter.com/mykeels/status/877234708073132032 …

Religion is philosophy. So is biology. All are endeavours to find truth.

Philosophy is the search for truth, yea? Maybe religion is dogma, but its study still covers man's quest to understand why He exists.

Who teaches it as the only way? And it is taught as philosophies in schools. Or it should be, at least.

If under philosophy, it can be taught as A perspective. If taught alone, it will be thoughts as THE only perspective.

But it's not taught alone. It's taught alongside many other important philosophies like science, art, physical exercise, & health awareness.

I meant secondary school. I wanted to know where you got the idea philosophy was taught alongside religion.

Well, the Bible was mostly regurgitated in CRK like in federal schools around the country. I guess it was same with those doing IRK

You suggested that they be scrapped, nd I disagree. Not because of some leftover sentiment, but cos tolerance is important nw more than ever

It is either you CRK or IRK. How does that build tolerance? Maybe if both including African traditions were taught to all, I agree

The reason of those subjects is to teach the kids the history and culture and beliefs of the people in their environment. To build tolerance

Understanding is even more important. Philosophy is already taught in schools. Even though they probably don't realise it yet.
