No, It will mean that instead of your ECOWAS passport, you will now have an African Passport with free entry to all AU states
the question is, why should I need a new passport? Do you need a new passport to enter other non ECOWAS countries visa free?

@OoTheNigerian Definitely not. It's just been launched & will be rolled out in 2018. You will just use current til it passport expires -
so the current passport will be valid for visa on Arrival?
