      Reasons I believe folk stick with PHP: 1. It was the first "language" they learnt 2. They're insecure in their ability to learn another one

      @OoTheNigerian PHP as opposed to anything else, .NET (C#), Ruby, Java, Python etc... all of which can and are used for web.

      @farinjini I think ease of server setup helps a lot. Of course Wordpress has played a huge role providing a "first steps" platform.

      @OoTheNigerian but you're referring to web only. PHP doesn't work outside of web and there's a lot more to coding than web alone.
