Reasons I believe folk stick with PHP: 1. It was the first "language" they learnt 2. They're insecure in their ability to learn another one

@OoTheNigerian but you're referring to web only. PHP doesn't work outside of web and there's a lot more to coding than web alone.
@farinjini .NET has (had?) the licensing friction. If all the languages/scenarios available today were in '95, would PHP have won? I doubt.
