With the urgency of covid-19, we haven't had the time to unite on the data so the arguments are spilling into the public domain. This means that the public needs new competencies for assessing the news they hear. Top of which is the ability to change your mind when new data comes

Exactly. Some experts refuse to admit understanding COVID-19 is still in a flux & there's much to be learned. They rather go with absolutes. Unfortunately, when found wrong, there is no consequence. They move on to the next absolute. The nature of politicization of expertise
