I can believe it. My point was the fear and panic of the radiation was far more lethal than the radiation.
That level of fear is so destructive and infectious. There was that case in Baghdad where a false rumour of a suicide bomber amid pilgrims on Al-Aaimmah bridge caused a stampede that killed over 900 people.
