There were quite a few surprises. For one thing, he kept painting futurist aero-paintings way into the jet age (he only died in the year 2000).pic.twitter.com/tDBUvbrflj

The exhibition doesn’t dodge the Futurists’ reprehensible politics but Crali’s case seems more complex than others - being much younger & managing to enrage the Nazis.pic.twitter.com/WpGbQ4qufM

The nicest surprise was unexpectedly finding they have 'Music' (1911) by Luigi Russolo on the top floor. When I turned the corner and saw it, this huge painting I've loved since I was a teenager, I said "Holy f***" out loud, not realising an older lady was right behind me.pic.twitter.com/PeWUbDTvPS

I absolutely love the work of the futurists. ‘The train arriving at the station of Lugo’, c. 1916 - Roberto M. Baldessari is one of my faves. The story of “hello” & “goodbye” captures in one piece of work is beautiful.pic.twitter.com/CQdkvoH0uv
