The Number 1 Househelp problem in Nigeria is employing children. Stop employing minors. Stop employing people who work for you without pay. Stop employing someone and giving their salary to one Oga somewhere or their parents. It is your children that will suffer it.

What goes on around us is nothing compared with what goes on within us. Sometimes what we call delays in life and business are just normal work in progress building us to be better. Don’t lose hope

The Domestic Staffing industry in Nigeria still needs a touch of heaven. It is so fragmented and largely informal. It would be a whole lot of relief for upwardly mobile families with young children to put some structure into it.

The issue is deep-seated cultural & psychological constraints. Most of the settlers are OK the way they are in spite of the interventions pouring in to improve their quality of living. In fact, some of their traditional/sectional heads monetize the aids coming in.

I stand to be corrected, Makoko is thr one place o have seen millions of naira pour into in terms of aid by local and foreign agencies Also seen the govt intervene But seems like the place keeps swallowing aid and there is little or no progress. So where is all thr money going

Transported a 30KVA generator through 21km within Lagos and different ‘Agberos’ have charged us over N40K at different junctions. If you refuse to pay, they damage a part of it. Hmmmmmm

Sometimes, all you need could be a better lighting in your bedroom, a cleaner workspace/wardrobe, or a better mattress. As my friend says; ‘Invest in a new mattress for better sleep. Your physical environment matters to your mental wellbeing too.

I believe this should not be debatable. It is the pure fact.

Do you believe certain jobs or industries should not be allowed to make content? I do. Mortuary business, nursing, palliative care, nursing homes, special needs care..none of this should be content. People deserve privacy in their most human + delicate moments or seasons of life.

Learning about the Eggon people of Nasarawa state for the first time. One of the many tribes not Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba etc. Nigeria is so culture-rich. Many more to know about.

I don’t want to leave. I don’t want to be chased out of my own country like I’m a second class citizen. I like the food, I like the weather. I like seeing my family. I like hearing my language. I like it here. I am a Nigerian. This is my home. I don’t want to go anywhere.

As a mom of young kids, staying a little longer in the car, locking up yourself for some moments in the room away from the ‘Mummy! Mummy’ chatters can be ultimate self-care. 😊

You have to be okay with being wrong to learn, alright with looking stupid to grow and open minded to think critically. Ask questions, admit mistakes and be open to receiving insight. Conscious growth essentials.
