Four years ago this week my high school English teacher and debate coach Ms. Elliott passed away. She meant more to me than she'll ever know. Stay in touch with those teachers who really helped you, you'll miss them when they're gone. I wish I had. May her memory be a blessing.
The relationships we have with great teachers are too often underestimated. Regrets suck, but you were lucky to have each other. Remember the good things :)
