Sadly, that flaw was Deathwing himself. He ended up boring as hell. He didn't do anything cool. Less a villain and more a natural disaster.
@MatthewWRossi It's hard to relate to a villain who is bigger than my screen. As such he becomes a force rather than an antagonist.

@MatthewWRossi Completely agree. A great deal of potential was lost when they elected not to utilize those aspects (so to speak).
