@SteveDanuser "In the Warfronts, we saw Forsaken night elves[...]abruptly return to the Alliance under Calia Menethil's guidance in Patch 8.3" - Is this accurate? That's definitely not the read most people had of that quest in-game, which seemed to be staying Horde under Voss.

When I was sent the question, it had different wording, or else I would have pointed out the error. The kaldorei dark rangers that Lilian brought to Calia were not returning to the Alliance. They came to her because they needed guidance.

Just to understand - why?

As a Forsaken, it has always felt weird (and as a new player back in the day, very confusing) that our racial leader was very obviously a different race from the rest of us. Leaving DRs in Horde also leaves the potential for a DR Forsaken mod open.
