The discussion on "is Sylvanas evil" always amuses me. The answer isn't the same for everyone, and by that I'm including ourselves as well as the fictional characters of the Warcraft universe.

Evil is defined as being "morally wrong," but not every person shares the same morals. In our world, I'd say the great majority of us share similar morals, but there can still be some variance. In a fantasy world, however, there can be a much higher variance in regards to morals.

So when the question is asked in regards to Sylvanas, remember that the answer given is often based on the morals of the person answering that question, or just maybe it's based on the moral of the character they play in the World of Warcraft. Good talk. ^_^/

We tend to think of good/evil as black/white - it is never that simple. D&D solved the moral dilemma for them by creating the alignment system (I assume D&D originated it). Sylvanas strikes me as Chaotic Neutral, the ultimate pragmatist. Evil is in the eye of the beholder.
