I am sad too. I get that you don't understand Sylvanas and don't want to understand her. I get that you are angry, that something dear to you has been violated. But:

1. There is no call to lash out. This is a game. This is fiction. If you love the world we play in, trust those who created it to tell its story. Live to fight another day.

2. Being rude, being mean, being unkind, being toxic, being a jerk. These are not acceptable reactions. It is ok to be sad. It is ok to mourn. It is ok to be upset. It is ok to disagree. If you disagree, it is ok to share that in a reasonable and thought-out manner.

3. A dear friend of mine has been a target of this toxicity. Specifically. This is not ok. She was not part of the teams that made these shorts - and yet she has taken the brunt of people's ire. This is a shitty thing to do, people. Really shitty. Special place in hell shitty.

4. The people you rail at are not just faceless entities in cyberspace. They are people with feelings and lives and friends. They love the world we play in - probably more than we do. It is their job to tell us the story of this world.

4.1. It is not ok to abuse anyone, especially not someone who is part of a team that creates something you love. If you are hurling abuse from the safety of your keyboard, you are a damn coward.

5. This is not a joke. It is not hilarious. It is not "just the way internet is." It is real people really being hurt. Real people who are creating something we love. Telling people that they need to grow a thicker skin is not acceptable. Not. Cool.

6. I'd like you to do something for me. Every one of you. Please don't grow a thicker skin. Please don't shrug this off. If you see someone responding with rape threats or KYS or unkindness, shut them down. Don't let this behavior be ok. It's not ok.
