I think at the moment Sniper is my best Dota2 hero, and I think that is a reflection of my refined taste and overall skill and I refuse to be judged.

Another observation.. If I go into a game thinking "Alright, let's try to really play well" and have that be my main motivation, I play much worse than if I think "I want the other people in this game to suffer and cry as they lose"

I think that's how all Dota players feel. I'd try to pick the most toxic lane combo possible. Break their will early and you have an easier game.
