A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.

Nah, they should ditch it. I doubt most creators actually care if folks disagree with them (I certainly don't) and the simple act of pressing a button does NOTHING to offer useful criticism. It's an outdated feature, and YouTube would be better without it.

Wait...they are removing it?

They've talked about it for a while now, but haven't really said when they will get rid of it.

What i want from the dislike button is after its clicked a comment box pops up giving you the ability to explain why you disliked the video. Itd give us content creators the ability to improve where we need to

They just don't want next YouTube rewind to beat dislike record. So they just gonna remove dislike button, and everybody would be "happy"

Honestly, the dislike button makes me feel safer as a spectator. I realize comments help creators to know exactly what you disliked, but it’s a death trap to even give positive constructive criticism because some fans will berate or attack your opinion.
