This idea to blame everything bad on the PKK to whitewash the YPG is another useless propaganda attempt It ignores the organizational structure of the YPG/PKK When a similar argument was used for the child soldier recruitment, it ended with this picture:

This move by the US will be a gift to Russia to argue that the US doesn't respect Turkish national security. In this manner, it does not help to claim that not the YPG but the PKK did attack Turkey or the areas of the SIG as claimed by . The data is clear on this.

If this can't be achieved, the US waivers need to be stopped. It's still astonishing that US policy-makers still haven't learned the lesson from the Ukraine war & the Russian aggression. Instead of building bridges with the SIG and Turkey, they continue to harm the relations.

The YPG will enjoy the waivers without any technicalities, thus the US waiver will de-facto be only really effective in YPG-controlled areas. To prevent this, the , the SIG, and Turkey need to protest and ensure that Afrin is included in the waivers.

The waivers announced are explicitly aimed at supporting the so-called autonomous administration of the YPG. As Afrin is a part of the whole, the areas of the SIG will be systematically excluded from the waivers. The decision to include parts of the SIG areas is a disguise.

The president Salem al-Maslet of visited the general secretary of the Arab League in Cairo, Egypt. This is significant as the Assad regime failed to rejoin the Arab League. It appears that after this, the Syrian opposition is trying to use this opportunity.
