I read the entire article, and what she said was appalling. She still said women must take some blame for making themselves attractive - all you're pointing out is that she added that it was awful that they can't be attractive without getting raped.

Her statement is generational but only in that she assumes people have enough common sense to get she doesn't mean kids /rape victims. She's referring to mixed messages when men may think a woman is interested and isn't imo. She clarified this if you read entire interview.
