I am a radical when it comes to the free press. I think most reporters are. I don’t think you can believe in radical first amendment freedoms and also believe that some stupid little fucker’s column is too dangerous for people to read.

I don’t think it’s controversial to believe that reporters should always be on the side of putting more information into the public sphere about how public officials think. This is true also when the public officials in question think dumb fucking thoughts.
