I welcome the fact that the new leadership launched this independent inquiry and expect them to ensure that this can never happen again. (2/2)https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2021/dyson-report …

Absolutely necessary! The BBC needs tearing down and rebuilding from scratch. Heads must roll!

Plenty of failings in the heart of government - who is taking action there?

Which government? The one in power when the interview was aired, the successive ones since or the current one , they’ve all failed the British public.

*Another* set of ‘damning failings’. That black-book of secrets must be enormous.

The BBC continually fails in its mandate and misuses the money of the public. For how much longer will you allow the people of #Hertsmere and the country to pay for a service that a growing number of people just don't use? #Borehamwood #Hertfordshire #BBC

It does neither of those things. How about addressing that to the current government who far more accurately fits your description! If we lose the BBC it will be catastrophic. Your “growing number” is constantly dwarfed by those who DO use it.

I wish I could: would love to experience the BBCs sterling coverage of the ‘97 General Election again.
