    for the remainder of the event, although the potential will be diminishing with time. Temps will drop sharply later tonight in the wake of the front into the mid & upper 30s north of Hwy 84 to the mid & upper 40s down along the coast. Colder temps &possible frost inland (3 of 4)

    allowed to expire as planned at 5PM CDT. A newly issued Severe Thunderstorm Watch will continue for southern parts of SW AL & the western FL panhandle through 7pm CDT as the line of storms moves south into that area. It is here that the severe threat will be greatest (2 of 4)

    A wind advisory has been issued for Wednesday night into Thursday morning across coastal sections of AL and the FL panhandle. Frequent wind gusts to 40mph are possible, which will make driving difficult at times and blow around loose objects.

    Latest on the causing road closure on Highway 98 near Airport Road in Destin. Eastbound lanes are also being blocked as well at this time. Please avoid the area and expect delays. Thanks going out to Lt Jeremy Gilbert for keeping us up to speed on developments. 👍
