    Once again on Christmas Eve in Holten, Netherlands, children placed candles at the graves of the 1,393 Canadian soldiers resting in the Holten Canadian War Cemetery. These brave men who helped liberate the country in WW2 are not forgotten. Merry Christmas!

    75 years ago, Christmas Day brought little relief for Canadian soldiers in their efforts to take . Soldiers were rotated back to a Church to enjoy a hot Christmas meal where possible, but many are shot down by German forces in the attempt.

    The only winners of blocking Canadian pipelines are other oil producers with weaker environmental standards. Global oil demand has increased by more than 10 million barrels per day since was first proposed, 10 years ago.
