    Roger Stone was just released on a $250,000 personal assurance bond. He does not have to put up one penny. Just to promise to pay that amount if he does not return to court. Meanwhile, my clients are held in jail on $500 bail they cannot afford for stealing a bar of soap.

    Last week, Chicago cop Jason Van Dyke was sentenced to 81 months in prison for murdering Laquan McDonald and three officers charged with participating in the cover up were let off. It's 10 degrees today in Chicago & people are gathering again to demand justice for Laquan.

    If Cyntoia Brown can be released from prison, why not trafficking survivor Alexis Martin? Tennessee's governor just granted clemency to Brown, who was forced to trade sex for money, but Ohio’s governor declined this week to do the same for Martin.
