I don't often disagree with Gideon, but no, the
#BBL has become bloated, tedious, and greedy - the excitement has died and the flow is gone. Cut to 6 teams, 32 games and 4 weeks. Short, sharp, exciting with appeal to O/S players. Stop trying to milk it! -

One word: greed. They saw potential then success then sucked every inch of money out of it. Short sighted but not un-precedented for Australian sport administrators who all fight over a small customer base growing less interested in sport as time goes on

Crowds may be down for most sports, in part due to the rising cost of living and the plethora of cheap streaming services, but AFL bucks that trend. It seems AFL administrators can do whatever they like but the crowds continue to grow.

Tournament is too long. Limit it to 30 days and 8 rounds. Create a window for international players to participate. Having some games only on pay tv excludes people.
