This afternoon Central East officers assisted AFD Arson investigators by locating and apprehending a subject who lit a fire at a residence.

There was shooting at Givens Park this afternoon. One innocent bystander who was sitting a bench was hit. Dozens of people at the park.
Officers walked the parking lot and canvassed the area for evidence.

Responded to a crash urgent call in northeast Austin. Turns out both vehicles involved were stolen this week; one from south Austin and the other from east Austin.
Witnesses advised the cars were driving recklessly & the occupants (juveniles) left running after the crash.
