    Couldn’t agree more. It’s a scandal how little support and training prison staff have, both POELT and when in service. We need to start looking at Scandinavian models if we are going to be serious about this.

    And underlined by prison officers basic training- the same 8 weeks whether you are working with terrorists, rapists, serious organised criminals, women, children, those with addictions, poor mental health etc. All in all a busy 8 weeks
