A good example of something that sounds profound but is actually superficial and dumb. Louis CK is a comic. Most comics lampoon things in pop culture. Word-policing children is an irresistible pop culture item to many comics. But, cool man, you framed things in terms of powerhttps://twitter.com/AJentleson/status/1079809408765448193 …

Louis C. K. has and will continue to have the right to speak his mind. He doesn't have a right to be paid to do it — no one does.
-
A-fucking-men! Could not have put it better myself. Deserves a retweet.

Nobody, asshole or not, has a right to speak their mind without being accused of being an asshole. We all have freedom to say what we want, but none of has has freedom from the consequences of that speech (nor from others interpreting our speech however they want).

Well, yeah. I was just trying think of what "right" he's supposed to have lost for being an asshole, and that was the best I could come up with.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. 'assholes should have the right to speak their mind without being accused of being assholes', what kind of nonsensical shit is that
-
Well, yeah. I can't see what other 'rights' people think he's list by don't of being an asshole.

Except for the fact that they're actually assholes? IF ya talk like an asshole, walk like an asshole, then you pretty much ARE an asshole.... Crying about being called one seems pretty ridiculous.

No one has the right not to be accused of being an asshole, if they say or do asshole things, regardless of their asshole-status in general.
