As somebody who has had to play Gonz's G&W multiple times, I can't help but feel the character isn't that good. But hey, he doesn't main him so 
It's not about his strength, he's really really obnoxious, he basically forces you to either be much better than the gnw player or show absolutely no remorse in doing a whole lot of nothing while camping him out, it was like this in 4 too
Yeah you do gotta camp. Can you not just space ranged aerials to avoid getting hit by the up-b tho? I play Mario, stubby af, and I found that when I did that against Gonz it worked well enough to start beating his G&W consistently and uhhhhh Gonz is definitely better than me lmao
