Never thought I'd see the day where there are as many tweets hating on G&W as there were tweets worshipping fucking ROB all of a sudden.

Because it's topical, most of us been hating gnw but he was just on the big screen so it makes sense to bring it up now
I honestly had no idea. I've seen nothing of the sort personally.
As somebody who has had to play Gonz's G&W multiple times, I can't help but feel the character isn't that good. But hey, he doesn't main him so 
It's not about his strength, he's really really obnoxious, he basically forces you to either be much better than the gnw player or show absolutely no remorse in doing a whole lot of nothing while camping him out, it was like this in 4 too
