I mean it’s still mid tier v mid tier it’s not like either of these characters’ kits work well enough to actually enforce real oppression on the other. It doesn’t look that bad to me tbqh but as someone who hasn’t played the MU it’s hard to speak on with sheer confidence

Game and watch is stupidly safe vs Ness and Ness has to get a grab to really get anything started. Jab, upsmash, his offstage game, and bucket give Ness a really hard time.

What makes him safe exactly? I can see why jab is a problem but if you stand in midrange you’re outranging him where it matters. Most of GnWs strengths are the product of being a pseudo-grappler, but his standing grab is garbage so he has no way to properly pressure spaced dash-

Ins. Everything he does can get checked because you have legitimate disjoints that auto cancel, whereas he has to over commit to every possible extension from mid range to cqc

You just play rps with him lol seems super even to me honestly. Both characters have shady ass disadv states but GnWs is slightly better, and both characters have gimmicky rps neutral, but ness’ is slightly better
