@DaemonGildas I personally feel like dual spec eroded a lot of class identity in the interest of being more convenient to players.

@Ghostcrawler @DaemonGildas Many things erode class identity in the interest of being more convenient, more balanced, less bloated, etc.

@Lhivera Yeah, TBH, that's probably a better way to put it.

@Lhivera I am personally nostalgic for the game back when this dude was a Feral druid and another was an Afflock. Now everyone is everything

@Necronom138 I think that's fair in the case of e.g. Bladestorm is no longer iconic just for Arms. But overall that increases customization.

@Ghostcrawler That was precisely the consequence I feared from dual spec when people were asking for it back in TBC. I realize that the...

@Ghostcrawler @Lhivera Counterpoint: all high-end raiders still "were everything," they just had to hearth/summon every other fight.

@Ghostcrawler @Lhivera But if people wanted character identity, they could still do it. I mean, Jana's fire and always will be fire.

@Necronom138 But when a warrior can be Arms or Prot at a moment's notice, feels like that decreases customization. It's subjective I know.

@Ghostcrawler @Lhivera I agree that the ease of switching has eroded that distinction more heavily for the greater part of playerbase though

@Lhivera @Ghostcrawler I categorically do not agree. I've had to go Arcane, Frost, and Fire this patch, it's fun and very challenging.

@Ghostcrawler @Lhivera I spent a lot of time trying to be a balance + resto druid. Dualspec made my Restokin identity easier to achieve.

@Ghostcrawler @Lhivera Being two specs can be an identity if you affiliate with the class rather than the spec.

@Lhivera @Ghostcrawler If not for dual spec, I would've been sit for several bosses, since you guys made every spec compete only in a niche

@Ghostcrawler @Lhivera The irony was in TBC, you needed to swap specs for fights like Alar and to take advantage of T5. Now, not so much.

@Lhivera @Ghostcrawler Challenge modes, PvP: dual spec favors the possibility of doing them.
