Can anything be done for the yellow cab drivers?

It comes down to the city, and from what I’ve read, two issues: Uber laws and addressing the medallion crisis. Part of me wonders if the city should compensate medallion owners in some way, since their Uber rollout essentially penalized yellow cabs who followed licensing rules.
-
My dad and our family have watched as the value of that medallion tumbled. The efforts to sue have failed. Is there anyway to apply pressure so that someone pays attention? His medallion is worth less than what he paid for it in 98
-
Yes. Drivers must organize to apply pressure on the city. There are yellow cab unions (the TWA wrote the notice subtweeted here). Sadly, some of these suicides have been committed in a way to shed light on the issue (one happened in his cab, with a note, in front of City Hall).

Read the article on Narritively highlighting you and your campaign. Good read. Really think you best represent the future of our city and the direction we need to head
Cheering for ya! (Would say voting for ya, but sadly I live outside your district

"Thank you!"
@Ocasio2018 FEC records show that your campaign used the Uber 160 times in just a three month period, to the tune of $4,000 though. You of course didnt respond to requests for a comment about the story from Fox News because you don't to admit to your BS. Your lies. -
Love the engagement of this tweet. Helps my reach

Maybe, just maybe, it's not the fault of Uber or Lyft, but rather the exorbitant cost by NY that drivers have to pay for their Medallion, which in turn drives up fare prices. With Lyft and Uber your constitutes can afford to transportation.https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/10/nyregion/new-york-taxi-medallions-uber.html …

Ocasio-Cortez doesn't even support taxi drivers. She takes Uber.

Just another hypocrite by demonstrating "do as I say, not as I do"

Between April and late June, the Ocasio-Cortez campaign recorded spending nearly $4,000 on Uber for 160 rides by its staff, (FEC) records show. The FEC also records show that the campaign spent nearly $2,500 for more than 90 rides with ride-sharing company Juno

This is not caused by Uber, Lyft, Juno, etc. It is caused by your fellow socialist Mayor Bill de Brazio who takes into city coffers every penny he can. So blame socialism, liberalism, but not the free market.
-
Or maybe it is because Alexandria doesn't even bother to take cabs herself. She uses Uber, even though she knows they underpay their drivers.

What is preventing cab drivers from becoming uber drivers? And it us interesting how you criticize uber, yet utilize their services. Can you say typical liberal hypocrite?
-
Uber\Lyft have dramatically increased transportation options in my city.
-
"Slavery has really increased my labour options." Pay people a living wage.
-
How incredibly insensitive to those who were actually enslaved, you’re comparing people choosing to drive for Uber/lyft, to people forcibly taken, chained and beaten into labor? Wow dude.
#Racist -
I dont agree with the premise of
@kevinagnew's post, but what he said is certainly not racist. Slavery has multiple meanings Eric.
