There are many little ways in which our electoral system isn’t even designed (nor prepared) for working-class people to lead. This is one of them (don’t worry btw - we’re working it out!) ⬇️

That's because your job hasn't started yet. Not at all different than people moving to another state to start a new job. 18 months ago I moved from the West Coast to the East Coast to begin teaching. Didn't get paid until I'd worked there a month.

Only wealthy people shouldn’t be able to run for public offices. Hopefully the Democratic Party helps. If not start a go fund me. If it’s good enough to help with medical bills in a late stage capitalist society, it’s good enough to get you to DC.

Go to your bank. Take out a small loan. Pay it back when you get paid. Problem solved. “We don’t need congress to work on this for you” Again, its amazing me how little common sense you have.

Many members of Congress sleep in their offices, and shower in the gym, because they can't afford 2 homes. Especially with kids at home, 2 homes - 1 in DC & 1 in NYC - is nearly impossible on a Congressional salary. Congress needs to provide housing for members.
