I’ve heard too many Trump supporters say that he is not seriously considering signing either national red flag or universal background check legislation. Despite all the evidence to the contrary, especially on red flag. Senate Majority Leader McConnell says they WILL pass it.
McConnell put red flag and universal background checks on front burner and is working with Dems on a bill that will pass. He is also talking to Trump, as are the sponsors of those bills. And now Ivanka is talking to them. Unless Trump catches a clue very soon, he will sign it.
The Trump Admin commission on school safety has advocated red flag since December, 2018, on the White House website. Senators Graham and Rubio have bills on it. The GOP betrayal of gun owners is in the works. Democrats could never get itvdoen on their own.
But with RINO’s in Congess, who are convincing Trump it’s OK to do this, it will get done. And unless we snap Trump out of it, he will sign it. And then he will lose 2020 because a large part of his own base will stay home. Rush Limbaugh is right. Don’t give an inch on guns.
Trump doesn’t understand his own base enough on guns. The Deep State & “never Trump” neocons know this. So tricking him into betraying his own base on guns is how they will finally get rid of him. Mark my words. If he signs red flag or universal background, he will lose 2020.
If you’re a Trump supporter, the worst thing you can do is be silent. You need to burn up the White House phone lines, letting them know he CANNOT compromise on guns. His base won’t vote Dem. but many will simply stay home on Election Day if he does this.@StewartRhodesOK
