I’m not saying that he has, but there are a whole lot of areas besides downtown that are fantastic places to be. Bottom line- it’s hardly the hellscape that the right wing is fixated on.

Oh God. It’s a city. Crime happens in densely populated cities. And I don’t pay attention to social media to get my knowledge of the city- I do it in real life by being on the ground. The west side and Pac Hts are hardly terrorized neighborhoods.

Violent crime is way down in SF in these last couple of years.https://www.sfchronicle.com/local/article/San-Francisco-s-crime-rates-shifted-16071268.php …

You also might want to change your behavior a bit. I've been in SF for decades, and I've never felt the need for pepper spray. I'm downtown every week, and I see a downtown that's really improved from pre-pandemic. And dead bodies? Bro- where are you hanging out!?

And how we don't rank anywhere near the top places for overdoses.https://www.npr.org/2021/07/14/1016029270/drug-overdoses-killed-a-record-number-of-americans-in-2020-jumping-by-nearly-30 …
