2. The MSM was predictably silent as the #GiletsJaunes made their way to the Champs-Élysées. If the first attempt at 9am was negated by the cops, the post-parade offensive couldn’t be stopped since distinguishing tourists from vestless protestors was mission impossible.

3. The police were gassing literally everyone around the Arc d’Triomphe. If the Gilets Jaunes chanted something anti-Macron, they were gassed, along with the passersby around them. The police were clueless and preferred to damage the image of France for tourists.

4. There was a tourists bus parked at the side of the Arc. I spoke to the people who were fleeing back into it, escaping the gas. They had come from Finland and had their children with them. Our conversation was ongoing against the background of police charges and gassings.

5. What Macron should’ve done is given the thousands of euros he spent on policing to the Gilets Jaunes (the people) instead. But no, that’s not how neoliberalism works. No to mention the money pissed away on a PR campaign disguised as a military parade.

6. The whole Champs Elysees and the general route of the parade was littered with the junk you see in the video below. One side of the banner had the French flag, and the other side had propaganda encouraging people to join the army (colonisers).https://twitter.com/O_Rich_/status/1150392505441148928 …

7. Fouquet’s restaurant was protected by the police during the whole day and during the entire Algerian night celebration. The police nearly set fire to a cafe called “Unisex” by firing tear gas at its roof (it was extinguished). Recall that this is how Fouquet's was burned down.

8. Even if the police gassed the entire upper Champs-Élysées and thus unblocked what you see below, the fact that the GJ managed to recapture it was more than humiliating for Manu. It was a truly jubilant moment.https://twitter.com/O_Rich_/status/1150401102396964864 …

9. The cops have a serious mental problem. They treat the GJ with contempt and visually enjoy being insulted. Quite sadistic really. It’s not a surprise that the suicide rate among the police is shockingly high. No sympathy from me.

10. Arabs know how to celebrate. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Within 20 minutes of the Algeria game ending, the whole Champs Elysees became a seemingly endless stream of Algerians heading towards the Arc. The fireworks and celebrations outdid Macron’s parade manyfold.

11. The Algerian celebration really put into perspective how French colonisation failed to fully crush their identity and soul. I wish I could feel like that about my own country, but successive reigns of neoliberal scum have made me feel too ashamed. I’m proud of the Algerians.

12. As some followers noticed, yesterday I wore my beloved Russian national football top. I received nothing but complements for it in the streets. For me the Russian flag represents actual democracy, equality, freedom, and fraternity.

13. Just before I left the Champs Elysees at 2am the Algerians started to launch fireworks at the police. The police fired gas back in return, but the fireworks package fell to floor & started to fire randomly along the ground. Everyone was fleeing in panic, choking on the gas.

14. For those who don’t believe that the police gassed a 6-year-old girl, I attach the full length video - listen to the GJ reprimanding the police. What happened is that the police stormed the avenue, and when the GJ hid in a shop, the police left (I filmed at this moment).pic.twitter.com/qlMuXMtcdw

15. Most tourists have absolutely no idea what is happening in France. I spoke to an American who might as well have been born yesterday. And that is the result of mainstream media brainwashing. They are also hostages of the capitalistic consumption machine.

16. I learnt a lot of things that will help me in my research into social unrest/insurrections/“hybrid warfare”. The mechanics of a counter-current are a very important area of study.

17. The saddest thing I saw on July 14th was materialistic tourist cattle all trying to film the parade, whilst literally behind them a homeless man tries to sleep as tanks roll past him. Not to mention those who photoed the Arc d’Triomphe but not the water cannon underneath it.

18. Tourist buses driving around the Arc d’Triomphe as the GJ chant “Macron resign”, with the tourists waving back, was really very surreal. It was as if the tourists were seeing for the 1st time what “democracy” (I stress: in quotation marks) actually represents.

19. I saw a group of 5/6 Jews, all wearing Yarmulkes, walk past the GJ on the Champs-Élysées, and the GJ…. did & said nothing. So much for the movement being “anti-semitic”. Anti-apartheid Israel stickers? Yep, the GJ plastered the avenue with them.

20. I still possess the opinion I stated back in January (below). Furthermore, we are looking at the prospect of another 5 years of Macron. Either he goes, or the streets will burn more and more fiercer.https://twitter.com/O_Rich_/status/1081634937000943616 …

21. The GJ chanted “Where is Steve?” all day. They are referencing an incident that happened on June 21, when the police charged/gassed a music festival in Nantes, causing a dozen people to fall into the Loire. 1 man (Steve) is still missing. The media+govt is still silent. Why?pic.twitter.com/ysiJD0SqqM

22. The silence means that the police killed him and it has become a coverup? The government denies any charge happened. The video evidence suggests otherwise. The government lies all the time, so why believe them on this topic? https://www.liberation.fr/france/2019/07/12/charge-policiere-a-nantes-la-version-des-autorites-contredite-par-des-videos_1739763 …

23. When the chief gendarme orders his militants to sweep an area, the militants put on their balaclavas first, and then put on their helmets. Why do they do this? To impudently violate the law, hiding their faces whilst wearing no ID numbers at the same time.

24. The police allowed the figureheads of the GJ movement to enter the Champs-Élysées, having passed through various checkpoints, only to then arrest them further down the avenue. They didn’t do any chanting or show any signs of holding a protest. They were just walking.
Show this thread -
25. In addition to being arrested, they were fined. So why were they allowed onto the avenue in the first place? Why didn’t the police just say “no” from the beginning? Oh, of course! Because then the cops wouldn’t have “legal” grounds to fine them (btw the fines are illegal).

26. The propagandist TV pretends that there was no social unrest yesterday (e.g.
@BFMTV). They say that some shops were smashed by the Algerians and Black Blocs, but they completely play down the fact that the Gilets Jaunes managed to storm the Champs-Élysées and humiliate Manu.Show this thread -
27. I am going to publish part 3 of my Gilets Jaunes series soon. So I will end this thread by saying that the GJ movement isn’t going to disappear anywhere. Living conditions in France only worsen, and as a result Macron is burying his own grave.
