1. Why hiding replies, aside from being wrong, is embarrassing and won't help your 'cause'. When readers click on your post, they see: Pic A - a BIG warning that replies have been hidden, then Pic B - instructions on how to see the hidden repliespic.twitter.com/B0DDxjfbTA

2/ Seeing a row of posts saying "This reply was hidden by the original tweet author" makes you seem more untrustworthy, not less (Pic A). And the hidden reply feature doesn't work on all browsers anyway eg. Internet Explorer (Pic B), nor does it work when not logged in.pic.twitter.com/pf5CJPBafz
