    I don’t know how many of my readers are in California AND don’t know about this already, but please vote against Prop22, if for this underhanded reason alone. Private corporations outright circumventing the legislature.

    The secret clause in Prop 22 that Uber and Lyft isn't telling you about: if it passes, it's designed to make it IMPOSSIBLE for our elected officials to ever pass legislation to protect workers again. It's purely, chillingly anti-democratic.

    i only follow COVID-19 stats because i'm trying to get into Canada, and Friday had the second-highest amount of new cases on record. it's a bummer that so many people are ruining this for all the nerds who made their lives much less fun to get through this dark period ASAP
