4:30AM: We have 300 crews, including this plow on I-90 in Cleveland, patrolling and treating for icy conditions this morning. Pavement temperatures across the state are below freezing, so be extra alert on bridges and ramps and give us room to work. #ODOTwinter

Clarification, the number of lives lost to impaired drivers is 628. In 2022, 30% of fatal crashes involved alcohol (378 fatalities) and 35% involved drugs (441 fatalities). Sadly, some of the deadly crashes involved a driver impaired by both alcohol and drugs.

The Brent Spence Bridge Project is among 9 megaprojects included in today's announcement. Earlier this month, officials announced the full amount of the funding: $1.6 billion from two grants.

⛔️⚠️⛔️ I-475 is closed in both directions at US 24 due to a semi crash and resulting fire. Northbound 475 will be closed until the fire is out. Southbound 475 will be closed for longer - hours - likely through afternoon commute. Plan ahead if you have somewhere to be today.

5:20AM: More than 760 crews are on duty across Ohio this morning, including this plow on US 35 in Ross County. Light snow and a glaze of ice are making travel a bit more challenging in parts of Ohio. Check OHGO.com, be extra alert and give our crews room to work.

[8:49 am] Light wintry mix continues to occur over portions of eastern Indiana and western Ohio this morning. This traffic camera, courtesy of ODOT, shows light freezing rain has occurred. The light wintry mix continue through the morning and into early afternoon.
