    Next stage of the active school travel project. DLR have been hard at work engaging with a wide range of stakeholders since the public consultation. Hopefully still on track for the summertime opening of all the routes.

    Of all the excellent recommendations from the Citizens Assembly today on gender equality, this one really is long overdue and would have tangible far-reaching impact. have been leading from the front on this for years.

    • Move to a publicly funded, accessible and regulated model of childcare over the next decade. • Increase the State share of GDP spent on childcare, from the current 0.37% of GDP to at least 1% by no later than 2030.

    If you're taking the Luas in or out of town today or tomorrow, there'll be replacement buses between Beechwood and Stephen's Green due to some works.

    Nice one. All part of the effort to support and increase biodiversity.

    The national climate action organisation Bugs, Bees and Native Trees led by former Head Girl, Holly Micklem, planted a range of trees on the grounds as part of their action day to reintroduce native trees to our communities. Check out their website to see how you can participate!

    Spot on. I have also noticed a lot of people who have reduced mobility, cycling comfortably around the place. Many people out cycling also have visual impairments that prevent them from driving. The solution for people of all abilities is high quality inclusive infrastructure.

    Active travel infrastructure. It’s about more than walking & cycling.

    Great to see this opening. There's new bike parking just inside the gate to your right too. I did ask for a crossing across Grange Road to Grange Wood but was turned down as there are two nearby crossings either side.

    The new pedestrian entrance into Marlay Park will be open for the weekend. Local materials and modern craftsmanship have gone into its making. The hexagon motif in the gate is a reference to biodiversity and nature. Enjoy your weekend stroll!
